Vintage Romance

Good morning everyone!! How was Valentine's for you? It was our first V-day post marriage & we celebrated with a nice candlelight dinner, flowers & a red velvet cake I baked. I wanted to do a special mani for the day but I can't draw intricate hearts & I don't own any nail stamps. So I decided to go with a soft vintage feel on my nails. This one was seriously time consuming & required a ton of materials, but the end result was surely worth it.
For the index finger, I used a soft blue & white polish & striping tape to create the stripes & topped it with a fimo heart (cute, no?). The middle finger has a light pink base with glitter. On the ring, light blue base with pink roses, & a pearl, rhinestone & stud on a glitter pink base for the pinky.

Orange & Pink

Good morning everyone!! FINALLY the weather has cooled down but the sudden drop in temperature brought me down with a bad case of cold & sore throat. I'd a string of events to attend the week before that so I decided to really glam my nails with all the bling I could lay my hands on. I sponged a pink & orange polish on my nails to create a gradient effect & topped it with a glitter topcoat to blend it further. Then I went crazy with rhinestones, studs & gold beads to create this gorgeous design. I'm SO IN LOVE with these. It's my favorite of all the manis I've done to date. Do you agree??

Stars, Glitter & Leopard Print

Good afternoon everyone!! I'm late again this time. Posting the mani I wore last week today. The weird weather that we're experiencing of late just seems to sap all my energy & leaves me feeling lazy to anything more than necessary. Anyways coming back to the mani, I wanted to do something simple & no-fuss & so came up with this. The stars seen here were plain silver ones which I painted using polish in the colors I wanted. Hope you like it :)

Pink & Yellow Roses

Good morning everyone!! I know summer has long gone by, but this week I was inspired to try something floral with roses. Now they aren't the most perfect representation of roses, but I did give it my best shot. The base yellow is one of my favorite yellows as its quite subtle & wearable for everyone. With 2 coats of it, I used a light & bright pink color for the roses, light green for the leaves & finished with white dots. It reminds me of a summery floral print dress. What do you think??

Pink Leopard Print & Glitter

Good morning everyone!! Pink has always been my favorite color, but I realised that I barely have any pink manis on the blog. So this week I decided to correct that. A couple months ago, I'd picked up Maybelline Color Show in Hooked On Pink & now its my favorite pink polish. For this mani, I applied 2 coats of it on my index & pinky & stuck diamond shaped glitters vertically. On the middle I applied 2 coats of a light pink color & sponged some mixed glitters on the lower half. Finally the ring & the thumb have 2 coats of silver & a neon pink polish & black acrylic paint for the leopard print. Quite a sparkly & girly mani, this. What do you think??

Vintage Roses with Pearls & Glitter

Good morning everyone!! I love using 3D elements in my manis but wasn't able to for quite some time due to the absence of my favorite Revlon topcoat/glue. I was finally able to lay my hands on it last week, that too at a discounted price (thanks to the numerous sales everywhere). This week its a pretty mint polish with roses and dots on it. The index finger has some simple glitter on it, but the show stealer, as per my husband, is the ring finger. Nothing spells vintage like pearls & I added to it with a rhinestone & some gold beads. I'm really loving the look, hope you like it too :)

Pastel Pink with Hello Kitty

Good morning everyone!! I'm actually finding it quite difficult to decide what to do with my nails ever since I'd to cut them short. Having kept my nails shaped square for a number of years makes it difficult for me to see them otherwise. So I decided to do something simple and what better than to use some pretty decals, especially Hello Kitty :) I've applied a pastel pink polish, used a dotting tool for the yellow & hot pink dots & then applied the decals. The pink base is a local polish & is very pretty, but quite streaky as well. Even three coats couldn't solve the issue.

Lavender with Pink Glitter

I could go on and on about this, but I'll try to sum up my problems in a single sentence: I chipped a nail. Now under normal circumstances I would've pretended I couldn't see it. But when you take pictures of your nails and post them on the internet for all to see, there's no option other than chopping all the others off for the sake of uniformity. I decided to do something simple for the week and turned towards this gorgeous lavender polish which I received as part of a wedding gift. Two coats of polish, some pretty pink glitter and I'm done. The combination looks WAY better in actual and is one of the rare few manis which I've worn nearly three times till date. Enjoy the pics :)
