A Riot of Colors

Good morning everyone!! This is the mani I did for the festival of Holi celebrated last week. I'm not a fan of actually participating in the celebrations with colors & all, so I decided to bring out the festive spirit on my nails. I dabbed on a few colors randomly on all nails, blended them together with some glitter polish & finished the look with white dots in various sizes & loose glitter. I'm in LOVE with how it came out. Hope you feel the same!!

Glitter!!!

Good morning everyone!! Yes, I'd promised to be regular with my posts, but as soon as I resolved to do that, I fell ill. Then we found out that we're required to move out of the place we currently live in & find a new place ASAP. Which meant running frantically from one broker to another, facing disappointment over not being able to find what we want & finally, leaving behind the life we'd just got used to. Now you can understand my plight :( Last week however, I was required to show up to collect an award my brother received for academic excellence from his former college. He has moved to another country, you know. I wasn't in the mood at all to do my nails, but there was no way I was gonna go with bare or simply painted nails. So I turned to the color which I've been quite fascinated with recently, slapped on some multicolored glitter & done!! Simple yet eye catching, isn't it??

Vintage Romance

Good morning everyone!! How was Valentine's for you? It was our first V-day post marriage & we celebrated with a nice candlelight dinner, flowers & a red velvet cake I baked. I wanted to do a special mani for the day but I can't draw intricate hearts & I don't own any nail stamps. So I decided to go with a soft vintage feel on my nails. This one was seriously time consuming & required a ton of materials, but the end result was surely worth it.
For the index finger, I used a soft blue & white polish & striping tape to create the stripes & topped it with a fimo heart (cute, no?). The middle finger has a light pink base with glitter. On the ring, light blue base with pink roses, & a pearl, rhinestone & stud on a glitter pink base for the pinky.

Feeling Blue

Good morning everyone!! I'm freezing here as I type....it's so COLD!! I wait all year long for the weather to cool down, but now that it has finally happened, I've been feeling quite lethargic & prefer to spend my time reading & rustling up delicious hot meals. That means I haven't been painting my nails as often as I normally do. But today I have a wedding to attend & I chose to do my nails in a color matching my sari. I applied 2 coats of a light blue polish, 1 light coat of glitter & finished it with studs, rhinestones & beads. I love how simple & gorgeous this design is. Agree with me??

Christmas Nails

Good morning everyone!! I know this post is shamelessly late, but I'd so much happening in the last couple of weeks that I just couldn't find the time to post the nails I did for Christmas. There was illness, a number of outings, trying to spend as much time as possible with our family & my brother leaving for Australia for further studies yesterday. I'm gonna miss him badly :(
Coming back to the mani, I applied 2 coats of a dark green polish, sponged on some fine gold glitter polish on the lower half & used beads & rhinestones to create the look of tree ornaments. On the ring finger, 2 coats of red, tape & green polish to create the tree, chunky glitters for the ornaments & a star stud to finish the look. This looked really stunning in person & I'm so proud of it. What do you think??

Orange & Pink

Good morning everyone!! FINALLY the weather has cooled down but the sudden drop in temperature brought me down with a bad case of cold & sore throat. I'd a string of events to attend the week before that so I decided to really glam my nails with all the bling I could lay my hands on. I sponged a pink & orange polish on my nails to create a gradient effect & topped it with a glitter topcoat to blend it further. Then I went crazy with rhinestones, studs & gold beads to create this gorgeous design. I'm SO IN LOVE with these. It's my favorite of all the manis I've done to date. Do you agree??

Green & Gold

Good morning everyone!! This is the mani I wore last week. Applied 2 coats of a dark green polish, sponged some gold glitter on the lower half of the index & pinky & used studs & rhinestones on the middle & ring fingers. So easy to do, but I love how gorgeous it looks. This mani just couldn't fail to grab attention. What do you think??

Grey, Glitter & Rhinestones

Good morning everyone!!! I know I've given an impression that I've abandoned the blog, but that's absolutely not the case. The thing is, I was too busy preparing for & having fun during Diwali. Especially with it being our first Diwali after marriage. I'll make it a point to post regularly now onwards. Coming back to the mani, I'd no idea what to do with my nails so I just applied my favorite grey polish & decided to see what I could do with that. Then a day later, inspiration hit me hard & I came up with this. I sponged on Rimmel's Disco Ball on the lower half of my nails & dressed up the accent nail with rhinestones, pearls, blue studs & silver beads. The glitter polish is a beautiful one with loads of holographic glitter too, which I unfortunately couldn't capture. I really love how this came out. Hope you do too!!

Stars, Glitter & Leopard Print

Good afternoon everyone!! I'm late again this time. Posting the mani I wore last week today. The weird weather that we're experiencing of late just seems to sap all my energy & leaves me feeling lazy to anything more than necessary. Anyways coming back to the mani, I wanted to do something simple & no-fuss & so came up with this. The stars seen here were plain silver ones which I painted using polish in the colors I wanted. Hope you like it :)

Stripes, Flowers & Glitter

Good morning everyone!! The weekend was really amazing for me as I got a chance to deliver a hundred cupcakes for an event. To complement my happy frame of mind, I decided to do my nails in a fun & happy color with my favorite elements, flowers & bling. I used my favorite green polish on the index & pinky & used striping tape & white polish for the stripes. On the middle, I used white with floral decals. For the ring, I applied a gold sand finish polish but thought it looked dull compared to the rest of the nails. So I topped it off with a chunky gold glitter polish. Hope these make you happy too :)

Pink Leopard Print & Glitter

Good morning everyone!! Pink has always been my favorite color, but I realised that I barely have any pink manis on the blog. So this week I decided to correct that. A couple months ago, I'd picked up Maybelline Color Show in Hooked On Pink & now its my favorite pink polish. For this mani, I applied 2 coats of it on my index & pinky & stuck diamond shaped glitters vertically. On the middle I applied 2 coats of a light pink color & sponged some mixed glitters on the lower half. Finally the ring & the thumb have 2 coats of silver & a neon pink polish & black acrylic paint for the leopard print. Quite a sparkly & girly mani, this. What do you think??

Blue & Green with Glitter

Good morning everyone!! Wasn't able to post last week as was quite busy with multiple birthdays in the family & the start of the festive season. I applied an aqua blue polish & sponged on some green on the upper half. The glitter polish that I applied is from a local brand but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It's a clear polish with fine blue & chunky diamond shaped blue, gold, silver &white matte round glitters. The polish is quite gloopy as you can make out from the thick layers on my nails but the end result is worth it :)

Pastel Green & Blue with Rhinestones

Good morning everyone!! I've never been a fan of pastel shades until a few months ago. Maybe my advancing age is the cause of my changing preferences :) Of all the Go Graffiti shades launched by Maybelline, I really like
Green Graffiti due to the contrasting matte glitters in it. So I picked it up on our last trip to the mall even though hubby thought it to be an average shade. The index & pinky fingers have  3 coats  of Green Graffiti. Pretty shade, but I expected something more. The color is dull, maybe next time I'll try layering it over a bright green polish. On the middle finger I've used a pastel blue with rhinestones & a gold glitter polish on the ring.
