Neon & Studs

Good morning everyone!! I don't know why, but I'm seriously attracted to neon polishes. Whenever I spot one, I just can't resist buying it. The result: I've quite a few neon polishes in my stack & I've never worn any of them, mostly because I'm scared of having my nails look tacky. This summer, however, I've decided to wear as many neons as possible, so brace yourself for that. For this week I chose my favorite neon polish of all. It's something I picked up in a local store & I love how the color resembles a highlighter (weird?) I applied two coats of white & used striping tape to create the neon band in the middle of each nail. To add some glam, I stuck a gold stud at the base. The mani looks so amazing in person & it's something that anyone can wear. You could also sub the band color with another neon or a regular bright shade that you're afraid to wear on its own. So which color are you gonna choose??

A Riot of Colors

Good morning everyone!! This is the mani I did for the festival of Holi celebrated last week. I'm not a fan of actually participating in the celebrations with colors & all, so I decided to bring out the festive spirit on my nails. I dabbed on a few colors randomly on all nails, blended them together with some glitter polish & finished the look with white dots in various sizes & loose glitter. I'm in LOVE with how it came out. Hope you feel the same!!

Glitter!!!

Good morning everyone!! Yes, I'd promised to be regular with my posts, but as soon as I resolved to do that, I fell ill. Then we found out that we're required to move out of the place we currently live in & find a new place ASAP. Which meant running frantically from one broker to another, facing disappointment over not being able to find what we want & finally, leaving behind the life we'd just got used to. Now you can understand my plight :( Last week however, I was required to show up to collect an award my brother received for academic excellence from his former college. He has moved to another country, you know. I wasn't in the mood at all to do my nails, but there was no way I was gonna go with bare or simply painted nails. So I turned to the color which I've been quite fascinated with recently, slapped on some multicolored glitter & done!! Simple yet eye catching, isn't it??

Lavender & Floral Decals

Good morning everyone!! I may have give you all the impression that I've abandoned the blog for good, but I assure you that's not the case. I just didn't feel like doing my nails for the last two weeks. I'd even done the base for a design I'd thought of, but couldn't go anywhere beyond that. Maybe it's the result of doing your nails regularly. This week I finally pushed myself & came up with this simple & sweet mani. I've always been a bold colors kind of girl, but ever since this polish came as a part of a wedding gift, I've been in love with it. The lavender's so soft & muted & the decals really add to it. Promise I'll come back with something spectacular next week!!

Vintage Romance

Good morning everyone!! How was Valentine's for you? It was our first V-day post marriage & we celebrated with a nice candlelight dinner, flowers & a red velvet cake I baked. I wanted to do a special mani for the day but I can't draw intricate hearts & I don't own any nail stamps. So I decided to go with a soft vintage feel on my nails. This one was seriously time consuming & required a ton of materials, but the end result was surely worth it.
For the index finger, I used a soft blue & white polish & striping tape to create the stripes & topped it with a fimo heart (cute, no?). The middle finger has a light pink base with glitter. On the ring, light blue base with pink roses, & a pearl, rhinestone & stud on a glitter pink base for the pinky.

Red with Rhinestones

Good morning everyone!! The wedding season is on in full swing & this is how I did my nails for the wedding I'd to attend last week. I was running short on time & patience, so I simply chose to go with a blinged-out accent nail. Applied two coats of this amazing red & used beads, studs & rhinestones on the ring finger. It turned out to be simple yet eye catching. What do you think??

Black & White

Good morning everyone!! Last week was pretty busy for me. It was my husband's birthday & being his first birthday post marriage, I wanted everything to be extra special for him. I spent the week buying gifts, wrapping them prettily, planning for the day & finally, baking his favorite chocolate cake. With very little time left, I wanted to do my nails in a simple way & this is what I came up with.
I selected black & white as the base colors & used gold striping tape & a gold stud to jazz it up. The finished look turned out to be simple yet elegant. Liked it??

Feeling Blue

Good morning everyone!! I'm freezing here as I type....it's so COLD!! I wait all year long for the weather to cool down, but now that it has finally happened, I've been feeling quite lethargic & prefer to spend my time reading & rustling up delicious hot meals. That means I haven't been painting my nails as often as I normally do. But today I have a wedding to attend & I chose to do my nails in a color matching my sari. I applied 2 coats of a light blue polish, 1 light coat of glitter & finished it with studs, rhinestones & beads. I love how simple & gorgeous this design is. Agree with me??

Christmas Nails

Good morning everyone!! I know this post is shamelessly late, but I'd so much happening in the last couple of weeks that I just couldn't find the time to post the nails I did for Christmas. There was illness, a number of outings, trying to spend as much time as possible with our family & my brother leaving for Australia for further studies yesterday. I'm gonna miss him badly :(
Coming back to the mani, I applied 2 coats of a dark green polish, sponged on some fine gold glitter polish on the lower half & used beads & rhinestones to create the look of tree ornaments. On the ring finger, 2 coats of red, tape & green polish to create the tree, chunky glitters for the ornaments & a star stud to finish the look. This looked really stunning in person & I'm so proud of it. What do you think??
